Our Story

El Dorado First Assembly has a rich history of over a hundred years. The church was founded in 1921 as the Full Gospel Mission of El Dorado, and affiliated with the Assemblies of God fellowship in 1924 and changed the name to First Assembly of God. From these humble beginnings the church has had a continuous ministry in the city of El Dorado, Arkansas. In 1992, the church moved to its current location, now a multi-building campus to worship and equip believers to go out and fulfill the great commission. We are grateful for the past, but we know the best is yet to come!

Adopt-a-School Training

We are partnering with the Church Adopt-a-School Mentoring program, led by Vicki Harmon. Through this program, we will be sending trained mentors into the schools to mentor students weekly. These mentors are encouraged to share Jesus with these students! Attending training is required for anyone who is interested in becoming a school mentor. Contact Chanda Jones if you are interested in joining the team today!

Missions Bake Sale/Fundraiser

EFA will have a bake sale fundraiser for the India / Nepal mission trip on Sunday January 26th at 5:00pm in building 2. We encourage you to bake your best dessert and bring it to be auctioned off at the bake sale for a great cause. You will also have the opportunity to enter it into a contest where prizes will be awarded in categories for best pie; best cake and best cheesecake.

There is a lot of advice out there on how we should parent, but what does God say? In this workshop, we will dive into Karen Stubbs' study called, "The Counter-Intuitive Parent". EFA's finest grandparents will be sitting at the table with parents to offer their insight as we discuss through the material. Light refreshments as well as childcare will be provided.
